Bio of Shirley Vollett
Shirley has assisted many clients to make
positive and fulfilling changes in their lives and their
relationships. Her coaching program for singles, Get
Ready For Love! guides a single or divorced person
through a process of clarifying: who they are, what they
want (in life and relationship) and how to get there.
Shirley views relationship choices and
challenges as an exciting adventure, rich in opportunities
for personal awareness and growth. She is particularly
passionate about supporting individuals in having an
authentic and fulfilling long-term relationship. One
client summed up her coaching by saying: "Shirley has the
uncanny knack of getting to the heart of things”.
Shirley's clients love her ability to listen
non-judgmentally--they feel accepted by her and able to
share deeply. She creates an emotionally safe and
supportive environment, so that her clients naturally get
in touch with their dreams and goals. Shirley's calm
perspective, discerning questions and warm encouragement
inspires her clients to take the risks to make changes.
Prior to having a family, Shirley spent 15
years counselling individuals, couples and families in a
variety of social service settings. She has worked with
clients of all ages, from all walks of life. Shirley has a
BA from Queen’s University and a BSW from the University of
British Columbia. She has done extensive Professional and
Personal Development over the past 30 years.
Since 1998, Shirley has offered life,
relationship and small business coaching to a varied
clientele. She is a graduate of Coach U and is a trained and
licensed Singles and Couples Coach with the Relationship
Coaching Institute. Shirley is a member of the
International Coaching Federation.
Shirley lives in North Vancouver, BC with her
husband Jim, their two children and their cat, Wonder.
