Bio for Dr. Sam Reimer
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Sam grew up in Kelowna,
British Columbia, Canada and received his education there,
as well as in Europe and the U.S.A. He was a prison chaplain
and teacher in Belgium for 11 years. In British Columbia he
has taught at the college level; he has co-produced the 18
TV programs on Boundaries and on Depression, and has been an
instructor of counselling training. Sam has 25 years of
counselling experience as a student and as a professional;
he works with individuals, couples, families and groups;
competency and expertise with multiple issues include the
following:

mental, physical, sexual, spiritual, verbal)

addictions
(including alcohol and drug abuse,
codependency, eating disorders, internet,
pornography and sex)

Sam is skilled in the use of at least 45 healing
therapies/procedures, e.g., EMDR (Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing), T.I.R. (Traumatic
Incident Reduction), T.A.T. (Tapas Acupressure
Technique), E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique), C.B.T.
(Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy).
Happily
married, Sam is a lover of life and enjoys helping
others experience more peace and passion so that they
can thrive and celebrate life. Sam founded and developed
Restoration Counselling Services while employed by the
Kelowna Salvation Army in 1993. He now maintains a
private practice and offers accessible and affordable
services.
